SPECULATIVE DESIGN

Effortlessly Destructive seeks to magnify the inconspicuous implementation of experience design for the enhancement of convenience within a consumer's food buying journey, which inadvertently results in an overwhelming amount plastic waste. Despite Singapore's recognition towards the exponential increment of wastage and the importance of sustainability, its initiatives for sustainable consumption always fall short.

This project aims to offer a reflective viewpoint towards the overuse of plastic food containers through a series of deliverables that send a provocative message on the indulgence of plastic food packaging.

"Minor Inconveniences" presents a collection of interactive posters tackling the minor obstacles consumers face, which often serve as justifications for resorting to plastic food containers. Each poster showcases an illustration depicting a convenient scenario for plastic usage, inviting viewers to flip them open for deeper insights into these phenomena. Through this interactive experience, viewers confront the complexities behind consumer choices, fostering reflection on the balance between convenience and sustainability in everyday living.
